|The collection of originals, drawings and limited edition prints feature his much-loved ‘gadgies’, ‘Peaky Blinders’ gangsters from his ‘Youth & Young Manhood’ portfolio and golfing characters from his newest work – the ‘Fairway to Heaven’ collection.
This collection is inspired by Alex’s love of golf, a passion that started when he and his childhood pals in Ayrshire made their own ‘golf course’ with gardening canes and ‘borrowed’ clubs from the nearby pitch and putt course. Paintings, drawings and limited edition prints with titles such as ‘Two Under Par’ and ‘Tee for Three’ depict situations that golfers, whatever their skill or ability, will recognise and appreciate.
Between visits to his new gallery in New York and organising dedicated exhibition space in Newcastle’s newest art gallery, Alex will be at the pop-up in Glasgow regularly. So pop-in to the pop-up for a chance to meet the artist and enjoy this fabulous collection of his work.
